You may be feeling that you or someone in your care are not in control of some aspects of life right now or are experiencing anxiety, stress or are depressed and are hoping that counselling will help you make sense of these feelings and experiences.
My counselling room in Emmer Green, near Caversham, is a short walk from the nearest bus stop. Parking is available.
Counselling can help you find relief from symptoms, such as depression or anxiety, come to terms with something, and develop a stronger sense of who you are – a more enduring self-confidence.
I have been a teacher for over thirty years and as such have worked with children, young people and their families, helping them through a range of challenging times. Focussing on the pastoral care of all members of the school community became my priority and so I wanted to develop and improve my skills in helping people even further. My counselling journey began.
I am a fully qualified counsellor offering a safe, supportive, confidential and non-judgemental environment where you will be able to explore yourself and your potential, ultimately working towards developing your own personal growth – mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
I offer counselling to children, young people and adults on a weekly basis for hour long sessions or slightly shorter for children.
I work all weekdays and some evenings.
I am a registered member of BACP (British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and as such abide by their Ethical Framework.
I have a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and a Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People.
I have a level 4 qualification in Suicide First Aid.
My qualification as a supervisor is an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision including Online and Telephone working.
I look forward to working with you.
