You may be feeling that you or someone in your care are not in control of some aspects of life right now or are experiencing anxiety, stress or are depressed and are hoping that counselling will help you make sense of these feelings and experiences.
I work in my Garden Room which is about 20 minutes from the centre of Reading. There is parking available and easy access to my room. It is on the main bus route from Reading.
Counselling can help you find relief from symptoms, such as depression or anxiety, come to terms with something, and develop a stronger sense of who you are – a more enduring self-confidence.
I have been a teacher for nearly thirty years and as such have worked with children, young people and their families, helping them through a range of challenging times. Focussing on the pastoral care of all members of the school community became my priority and so I wanted to develop and improve my skills in helping people even further. My counselling journey began.
I am a fully qualified counsellor offering a safe, supportive, confidential and non-judgemental environment where you will be able to explore yourself and your potential, ultimately working towards developing your own personal growth – mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
I offer counselling to children, young people and adults on a weekly basis for 50-minute sessions.
My working hours during school term times are Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, Saturday mornings and afternoons and Sunday morning.
During the school holidays, my hours can be more flexible.
I am a registered member of BACP (British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and as such abide by their Ethical Framework.
